Intermediate Level: Intermediate-advanced. The workshop will serve as a Part 2 to the CBT for OCD talk; however, any intermediate-level clinician will benefit.
Specific techniques, including cognitive strategies such as loop & uncertainty training recordings will be taught in more detail. Imaginal exposure will be taught and examples will be provided. Participants will learn the basics of inference-based CBT. Exposure/response prevention will be explained in detail, and multiple cases will be reviewed to illustrate the methods and effectiveness of ERP. The treatment of complex OCD cases will be reviewed in detail. Finally, case examples focused on familial participation in treatment will be provided.

Bonnie Zucker, Psy.D., is a licensed psychologist with a background and expertise in the treatment of anxiety disorders and OCD. She conducts psychotherapy in her group private practice in Rockville, Maryland.
Using a cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) approach, Dr. Zucker has helped hundreds of children become anxiety-free by teaching them coping skills, methods for challenging their faulty thinking, and how to systematically face their fears. She is also the author of Anxiety-Free Kids, Take Control of OCD, Parenting Kids with OCD, Something Very Sad Happened, A Perfectionist’s Guide to Not Being Perfect, and Kid Confident #1: How to Manage your Social Power in Middle School, and the coauthor of Resilience Builder Program for Children and Adolescents and two relaxation CDs.
