COGNITIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a leading, evidence-based treatment used at Alvord Baker to help clients effectively manage a range of challenges, including anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), depression, and other mood/behavior disorders. This approach helps individuals reshape negative thoughts, adjust behaviors, and regulate physical responses. Clients leave each session with practical tools they can use right away.
EXPOSURE RESPONSE PREVENTION (ERP)
Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) is a specialized form of CBT particularly effective for treating anxiety, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, and phobias. The treatment involves gradually confronting fears or anxiety triggers while resisting the urge to use avoidance or compulsive behaviors. This approach helps retrain the brain to tolerate discomfort, reduce anxiety, and break the cycle of fear and avoidance.

Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT):
Designed to help children and adolescents process traumatic experiences while involving caregivers in the recovery process.
