Connected Fathers:
Building Emotional and Parenting Resilience
An 8-week group therapy experience for fathers who want to parent with more calm, clarity, and connection.
Parents today are navigating enormous pressures. They’re expected to provide, protect, stay calm, and remain in control, all while managing their children's emotional needs, navigating homework and screen time conflicts, keeping up with school demands, and trying to maintain their own well-being. At the same time, they’re often doing this without a roadmap, and without much space to talk openly about the emotional toll that comes with parenting. Connected Fathers offers a space to reflect, regroup, and grow alongside other dads who get it.
In this group, we focus on building both emotional resilience and practical parenting skills. Over 8 sessions, participants will learn tools to manage frustration, communicate more effectively, model emotional strength to their children, and navigate the stressors that come with modern fatherhood.
Key Topics Include:
-
Understanding the roots of anger and frustration
-
Identifying personal stress patterns and learning emotional regulation techniques
-
Modeling emotional intelligence for your children
-
Applying evidence-based parenting strategies (e.g., reinforcement, effective commands, active ignoring)
-
Improving communication and alignment with your co-parent or other caregivers
-
Exploring the social pressures men face around parenting and vulnerability
-
Reconnecting with your values, purpose, and strength as a father
Each session blends clinical strategies with real-life discussion. The group is backed by psychological science but grounded in the realities of everyday parenting. We’ll talk about what it means to be a father and a man today, how we were parented ourselves, and how we want to do things differently.
Whether you’re here to manage stress better, strengthen your relationship with your child, or just talk more honestly with other dads, you’ll find support here.
Group Format:
