Michael Morse MD MPA

Dr. Michael Morse is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist specializing in the treatment of ADHD across the lifespan.  Other areas of expertise include treating oppositional behaviors, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, and conditions co-occurring in autistic individuals. He works collaboratively with patients and families to develop thoughtful, comprehensive treatment plans that often combine medication, psychotherapy, and practical strategies to support healthy sleep, nutrition, and movement.  His clinical practice is guided by feminist and anti-racist values.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Morse has educational and leadership roles at two universities: he is an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the George Washington University’s Medical School.  At Georgetown, he is the founding director of the Complex Adult ADHD Consultation Clinic, leads outpatient child psychiatry training for residents, and co-leads a seminar on ADHD and learning disabilities for child psychiatry fellows.

Dr. Morse also works to advance healthcare quality both domestically and internationally. He previously served as the Executive Director of a nonprofit organization advancing medical education in the Middle East, as a member of the American Psychiatric Association’s Council on Children, Adolescents, and Families, and as a consultant to the World Health Organization. He currently consults on medical education and healthcare system initiatives in the Middle East, West Africa, and through the Indian Health Service. Dr. Morse has also co-authored the forthcoming book, A Clinician's Guide to ADHD In Women: Diagnosis and Treatment.

Dr. Morse attended Harvard Medical School and the Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he earned his medical and public administration degrees.

He completed his psychiatry residency at George Washington University and a fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Children’s National in Washington, DC.
