About the event

This event is presented by Mary Alvord, Ph.D., and Nina Shiffrin Starin, Ph.D.

Delivering cognitive behavioral therapy via telehealth presents both opportunities and challenges. This three-hour webinar provides clinicians with a practical, ethically grounded framework for offering high quality CBT in virtual settings with an emphasis on conducting effective exposure therapy. Participants will learn key ethical and legal considerations, including state licensing laws, PSYPACT guidelines, and risk management strategies essential for telehealth practice.

Special attention is given to the unique role telehealth can play in enhancing exposure therapy both during virtual sessions and by facilitating real world exposures and practice beyond the traditional therapy office. Strategies to engage children and adolescents through telehealth will also be shared, equipping clinicians with concrete tools they can use immediately.

Learning Objectives:

1. Discuss two ethical considerations for use of telehealth .
