Position Requirements

  • Maryland and/or DC licensure required prior to start (internship and accredited program completion mandatory).

  • Strong therapeutic skills using evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, EMDR, DBT, ACT, PCIT, Gottman Method, Structural Family Therapy).

  • Experience working with a diverse range of clinical presentations preferred.

  • Expertise and enthusiasm for working with young children and their caregivers.

  • Responsibilities include individual therapy; may include group therapy and testing services if interested.

  • Minimum of 6 clients per week during afternoon/evening or weekend hours.

Alvord, Baker & Associates is a fee-for-service, group private practice dedicated to evidence-based therapy, neuropsychological testing, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive training. We are seeking a licensed psychologist or experienced clinical social worker to join our team. We are actively recruiting part-time clinicians for 3 of our locations: Capitol Hill, Chevy Chase, and Rockville.
